Festivalzentrum & Party program

raumlaborberlin

In its history, Impulse has always been on the road, constantly at several places, here today, there tomorrow. For its 25th anniversary, the festival has a center for the first time, the program concentrates in one city – a new era begins: After Mülheim, Düsseldorf and Cologne will follow in an annual rotation – the respective other two cities will stay present as satellites. The festival center is designed by the architects’ collective raumlaborberlin at the Ringlokschuppen Ruhr – and it will last there as a meeting point for theatergoers and as venue for events. New and redesigned, a variable room opens up for many possibilities and occasions, where all the buses end, where people can meet, eat and drink, listen to music, celebrate, sleep, discuss the last performance and wait – for the next performance, the last bus, the love of their life, perhaps.

Concept/design: Andrea Hofmann, Axel Timm, Benjamin Foerster-Baldenius, Christof Mayer (raumlaborberlin)
