Far a day Cage - PATE I-III

“The Godfather” is a cult movie. FAR A DAY CAGE yet not only re-enacts the best-known scenes of the trilogy but the audience will be invited to enjoy meals cooked on stage, analyse the plot and play music.

Along the way the audience discovers more about the shooting of the film – a multi-layered and hyper medial journey through patterns of reality, which unfold the mechanics of social physics.

About FAR A DAY CAGE

FAR A DAY CAGE (FADC), the group from Zurich</st1:place></st1:city> around the director Tomas Schweigen and actress Vera von Gunten, has been walking the lines between performance, documentary and storytelling theatre since 2004. FADC projects’ always deal with their own artistic process, thus counteracting a theatre of illusion. With one of their first works, “Parzivality Show”, FADC won the audience award and the ensemble award at the Theatertreffen deutschsprachiger SchauspielstudentInnen (theatre festival of German-speaking acting students) in 2004. Since then, their productions have been seen at numerous festivals and independent venues in Hamburg, Zurich, Berlin, Basel, Vienna, Düsseldorf, to name a few. For “POLIZEY” (based on an idea from Friedrich Schiller), they won the Swiss subsidy prize Premio in 2005.
