Archive for Independent Theater

The independent theater needs an archive. This began in 2013 with a working party initiated by Impulse. Now it has made a decisive step forward: As of this year a small team from the University of Hildesheim has begun work collecting archival material throughout Germany. Anyone who wants to contribute relevant material is invited to write to info@theaterarchiv.org or fill out the questionnaire provided online at www.theaterarchiv.org.

During this year’s festival the archive’s steering committee and its academic and artistic advisory board will hold a two day internal workshop and use the occasion to present the project in public and discuss what it might mean for the visibility of these forms of theater.
